Protect yourself: Stop eating these local foods if you have diabetes.

It is now obvious that as long as you live in Africa and you start aging, there are two possible diseases one must get, which are Diabetes and Hypertension. These two are some challenging diseases among the aged in our African setting. 

But today we will be talking about diabetes. Diabetes is a group of diseases in which there is high or too much sugar in the blood. It is a long-lasting disease which affects how the body turns food into energy or glucose. Most our food we are turned into sugar or glucose. When we say sugar in blood does not mean eating sugar but all the carbohydrates and other foods we eat are turned to sugar. 

Today we are going to look at some how to treat ourselves and fasten the healing process by avoid eating some stuffs of food. Diabetes can be best cured if we control our diet and eat proper nutritional food. 

 1. Avoid eating sugary food

 2. Do not eat much of carbohydrate since the end product is sugar 

 3. Increase Your Fiber Intake, it will slow down the digestion and absorption of sugar into the blood

 4. Drink Water and Stay Hydrated

5. Eat Foods Rich in Chromium and Magnesium

6. Regular exercise

7. Get Enough quality sleep

8. Monitor Your Blood Sugar Levels


Of all these seek for medical advice from doctors all the time. Take diabetes serious it is a chronic disease.
