The long-awaited study on COVID-19 origin tracing following a mission in Wuhan, Hubei Province, central China, will be published on Tuesday, according to World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

WHO Director-General "WHO got the full task report on the source of the SARS-CoV-2 virus from the team that visited Wuhan earlier this year over the weekend," Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

He added that the article has not yet been made public.

On Tuesday, he said, the foreign experts and the WHO's 194 member states will meet for a mission briefing, after which the report would be released on the WHO's website. The foreign experts will hold a press conference on Tuesday to present their conclusions, according to Tedros.

Chinese experts and WHO experts partnered in Wuhan from January 14 to February 10 as part of global scientific study on the origin of the novel coronavirus.
