Politicians must patronise Korle-bu, KATH for healthcare delivery and not Dubai after Bagbin's tour

Ghana's improvement in the healthcare delivery in the country over the years had gone up astronomically since the role being played by the ministry of health as well as the Ghana Health Services have greatly uplifted the course by ensuring quality healthcare delivery to Ghanaians.

Whats getting people confused is the rate at which top notch politicians are turning their back at the various healthcare centres like Korle-bu, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Tamale Teaching Hospitals and most of our health facilities to patronise healthcare from the western countries which is derailing the progress of the country

If top politicians are disdaining everything foreign to the neglect of the local facilities the country had toil to establish in the past, then our quest for economic growth and sustainable development will definitely be in tatters.

Political gurus like the current president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, the maverick politician Kennedy Agyapong, the current Speaker of Parliament Right Honourable Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, former ministers of States had always shown a strong taste for foreign healthcare delivery system.

If we are not reposing the trust in our professionally trained Nurses and Doctors as well as other healthcare delivery personnels, my question is, which direction are we taking the nation to if we are spending dollars, euros, pounds Sterlings to access medical attentions somewhere?

The performance of various health care centres proved how best our hospitals are performing especially, when we compare them to western nations in the fight of Covid-19, the total number of deaths recorded outside when we place Ghana health centres and foreign healthcare centres in juxtaposition.

The nation lacks major educational, other top infrastructures and facilities in most rural communities, hinterlands across various regions in the country but the kind of resources spent outside can be be used internally to help boost the development of such agendas.

If the government is campaigning for us to patronise what we grow in the country, it also becomes imperative for us all to do away with inordinate taste for foreign services to enhance the development of our nation.

Fixing that problem will even make the citizens have a high level of confidence and trust in our local healthcare delivery centres and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, University of Ghana Medical Centre, all other healthcare delivery centres to fully patronise them

I therefore charge and also entreat our leaders whom we look up to at least patronise in our healthcare facilities and centres since it will largely benefit us as a nation to equally be at par with those western nations.
