The truth is finally out and the "kidnapped" but found woman has confessed that indeed she wasn't pregnant.
This revelation came from a radio station called Empire FM in Takoradi. According to the police who broke the news to the radio station, the victim who is now a suspect confessed amidst tears that she wasn't pregnant and that they shouldn't prosecute her. All this while, her husband was around who was "jawdropped" after hearing it.
Doctors and medical practioners who examined her stated clearly that the woman was suffering from pseudocyesis which makes her feel like she was pregnant. According to them, pseudocyesis is a sickness which makes you have the false believe that you are pregnant because of the signs you will exhibit in your body. It can cause abdominal enlargement and even reduced menstrual flow.
Management of Efiankwanta Regional Hospital have stated that they will make the results ready to the police latest by Monday.
