Health benefits of eating eggs daily

Egg is the oval reproductive body of a fowl(especially a hen) used as food.

Some years ago, this superfood was vilified by many physicians and researchers as bad for human consumption due to its ability to raise cholesterol levels in the body. However,recent researchers have actually established beyond reasonable doubt that eating eggs everyday has numerous health benefits to humans.

Egg contains quality proteins (most of which are found in egg whites), vitamins,minerals and Omega-3 fatty acid. The yolk contains cholesterol but the good news is that the cholesterol in egg yolk is in fact, a good cholesterol.

Cholesterols in the human body are either high-density lipoprotein(HDL) or low-density lipoprotein (LDL). HDL cholesterols are the "good" cholesterols needed by the body as they absorb cholesterol and carry it back to the liver. The liver then flushes it out of the body. High HDL cholesterol levels in the body can lower a person's risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. LDL cholesterols are the "bad" ones. High LDL cholesterol levels in the body can damage the arteries, contribute to cardiovascular disease like hypertension (high blood pressure) and increase ones risk of getting stroke.

A normal healthy person can eat two whole eggs everyday. All types of eggs be it brown or white have the same nutritional value.
