Hi there. Good day lovely reader. Welcome back. This is not meant to speak against or advertise anything of the sort but to update you.
Many people do not know that Coca-Cola got its name from a common African tree. Bitter kola, which is also known as bitter cola or Garcinia Kola, is a plant found in Central and Western Africa. It has for a long time been valued and revered for its medicinal properties. Although traditional African medicine uses all parts of the Bitter Kola plant, the seeds are mostly commonly eaten. Bitter kola seeds are seeds that are known to possess a sharp, bitter flavor and they ease into a slight sweetness as you chew, and they are typically eaten raw. Some nutrients you can get from bitter cola according to researchers are Carbohydrates, Fat, Protein, Vitamin, Calcium, Potassium and Iron.
Some of its benefits are below;
1 . Infections Control
Bitter kola has been used over the years to fight infections from the common cold to hepatitis. A recent study shows that bitter kola can help combat coughs, bacterial infections, and viral infections.
2 . Inflammation
The seeds of bitter cola have commonly been chewed on in Africa to fight against inflammatory conditions like arthritis. The high levels of potassium in bitter kola may be a contributing factor in reducing inflammation in joints like in the case of arthritis.
