FIRST AID MANAGEMENT OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Now almost 70 to 80 percent of the world populations uses Electricity in their homes, offices and work places, but sometimes many people loses their lives through electric shock which is very worrying. Do what is written below to save your family and other people, thank you.
1. Do not touch the victim with your hands
2. Unplug the appliance or turn off the power at the control panel
3. If you cannot turn off the power, use a piece of dry wood like broom handle to push off the person’s hand off the power
4. Do not try to move the victim stacked on high voltage wire, call for emergency help
5. Keep the victim lying down
6. Unconscious victims should be place of their side to allow drainage of fluid to prevent airway obstruction
7. If the victim is not breathing apply mouth to mouth resuscitation
8. Cover the victim with blanket to maintain body heat
9. Keep the victim body below and get medical attention by calling emergency team or taken the person the hospital
NB: do not use wet object to separate electric source from the victim as it may also shock you
