Benshiri Medical Supplies, a Non-Governmental Organisation in Ohio, USA, has donated medical supplies worth over 150,000cedis to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital. Donating the equipment was Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi, the member of parliament for Asante Akyem North District.
Lawyer Andy in presenting the equipment to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital congratulated the Hospital for their continuous support to residents and natives within the Asante Akyem Metro. The entire Asante Akyem Metro consists of three districts; North District been Agogo, South District been Juaso and Central District been Konongo-Odumasi, and in all these three districts, there is only one secondary hospital serving all these communities.
We have Juaso hospitals and Odumasi hospitals but they are all district hospitals, except Agogo which is deemed as the referral centre for all these people, and without them, millions would have died. We are thankful for saving our lives all these years, and in response to that, I stand here as a messenger of Benshiri to donate all these for you.
Let this equipment help you save more lives, Mr Andy Appiah Kubi charged the hospital before presenting the items to the Hospital Administrator. Owuraku Anthony, the Hospital Administrator thanked the lawyer and the entire Benshiri Group for their kind gesture and promised them the equipment will be used in saving more lives.
We have faced shortages of equipment in the past due to the increasing demand of the people which has lead to the hospital referral cases that would have been managed at the hospital to Kumasi, but with these donations, we are rest assured the people will receive great medical attention, said the Hospital Administrator Owuraku Anthony, in showing their appreciation on the items donated to them.
Items included trolleys, beds, stretchers, X-ray machines, scammers, medical chairs, medical desks, thermometers, and ventilators.
