Following the resurgence of COVID-19 cases reported to the hospital, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital staff members have been instructed to participate in mass testing and vaccinations.
The hospital has confirmed roughly 45 positive cases in the past two weeks, compared to just three on September 11th, 2022.
“Surveillance data from the Public Health Unit of the Hospital indicate that from the week ending 11th September 2022 to the week ending 23rd September, 2022, the number of confirmed COVID-l9 cases has risen from 3 to 45,”…. an internal memo sighted by myxyzonline said.
The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has already issued instructions to the heads of all Units, Directorates, Departments, and Sub-BMCs (UDSs) to gather employees for an ongoing COVID-19 vaccine mop-up exercise.
According to the announcement, there is also a desk at the Public Health Event Park for interested staff members and patients.
It urged departmental heads to make sure that all personnel entering OPDs, wards, offices, and waiting areas within their buildings/structures rigorously follow COVID -19 standards.
