I Don't Think The State Has Failed Us - Dennis Aboagye Boldly Declares

Community infection of the deadly and highly transmissible delta strain of the covid-19 virus has been recorded in Achimota Senior High School in Ghana.

The former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akuapem North Constituency, Dennis Aboagye, has said that he doesn't believe the state has failed in managing the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.

Dennis Aboagye made this statement on the 'New Day' program on TV3 this morning, July 5th, 2021, when he gave his opinion on the recorded cases of the delta strain of the covid-19 virus at Achimota Senior High School.

"I don't think the state has failed us. I think so far since March 2020, Ghana as a country we have done some good to ourselves. The right restriction, the right regulations with the support of Parliament have been brought to play at the right times. Most of our regulations and restrictions came in a systemic order based on the situation, and I think we've done well with that." He said

According to Dennis Aboagye, the government has done its part and has put in place the measures, but the challenges we are having is what responsibility we are taking as a people. He asked that if an Immigration officer at the border takes bribes to allow people who have not been tested for covid-19 into the country, how is it the fault of the government?

He added that the government has a limitation to a point at which it can go. What is left is for us as a people to play our part to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
