The President of the republic of Ghana, president Akufo-Addo, has bemoaned that the COVID-19 data is a clear indication that Ghanaians are not doing their part as patriotic citizen by adhering to the COVID-19 protocols.
According to him the total number of active cases stands at 4,094.In his address number 26 which used to be monitored via Wontumionline.com, he said, 1,394,540tests have been conducted, 101,170 men and women have been infected with the virus, and 96,255 have been recorded.
He stressed that the multiplied infections have largely been driven by means of the Delta Variantof the virus. President Akufo-Addo emphasised that it appears that, unfortunately, Ghana is experiencing a third wave of COVID-19 infections.
He emphasized that, “this is the time when the economy is on the rebound, and commercial enterprise things to do picking up, should do everything possible to comprise this outbreak. We can't manage to pay for to return to the days of partial lockdowns, which brought vast hardships and difficulties for all of us.”
