Habits And Foods That Harms Our Kidneys

The kidney is one of the most important organ of the body. The work it does is also very vital, kidneys remove wastes and extra fluid from your body among other functions, but that is not the purpose of this article. Located in the back of the abdomen, just under the ribcage, on each side of the spine.

The lifestyle of people nowadays is a contributing factor to the increasing cases of kidney problems today. That is why it is important to take care of your kidney at all cost.


Treating kidney problem is not an easy thing. When they get damaged, transplant is very expensive and getting a donor is not an easy task. Also, dialysis is quite expensive too, so do take care of what goes into your mouth.


There are some things we take and some daily habits that are harmful to our health in general. It could be a habit, addiction or a lifestyle. Below are some of the things that damage the kidneys, do take note and make sure to do the right thing:


*Over using of pain killers

*Too much salt intake.

*Processed food

*Not drinking enough water.

*Consuming lots of meat.

*Taking in a lot of sugar.

*Smoking.

*Excess alcohol.


Also, sitting for long periods of time has now been linked to the development of kidney disease. Although researchers don’t have the full details. But then, try to exercise more. Take a walk once in a while even if your work require you sitting for a long time. Kidney disease kills. Be aware, be informed. Take care of your health.
