To prevent any lives to be wasted, The governments have taken a decision with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to import COVID-19 vaccines to save the country and people as well.
Two million, twenty-five thousand, one hundred and eighty-three (2,025,183) vaccine doses have been been imported into our country, Ghana after pleading with the foreign governments.
Out of the 2,025,183 vaccine doses, 1,369,515 constitute the first dose of AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines.
In furtherance, 1,190,564 constitute the first dose of AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines.
And 662,959 comprise the second dose of AstraZeneca and Sputnik V.
So therefore, the total number of people who have been fully vaccinated with all the vaccines in the country are eight hundred, twenty thousand and thirty-seven (820,037).
