Ghana as country is not exceptional from the coronavirus virus attack. Cases of covid-19 continues to increase in number day in day out.

However, new case of covid-19 have been recorded increasing the country’s cumulative cases to 80,759, which means a number of 506 new cases have been recorded.

As on Friday, February 19, the number of active cases was 6,812 out of which 95 persons were in severe condition, while 28 others were also in critical condition.

The Ghana Health Service on its updates indicated that, the country have loss five more persons from the Covid-19 diseases infection therefore bringing the dead toll to 582. But also the number of persons who have recovered from the Covid-19 disease is now 73,365.

From the update, information indicated that out of 166,218 tests conducted on international travellers, 1,208 persons tested positive of the disease representing 0.7 percent of the positivity rate.

From the update, Greater Accra Region still records the highest number of covid-19 active case country with 3,224 infections, followed by Ashanti Region with 731 cases, with Central Region and Western Region having 504 and 436 cases respectively.
