His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo speaking at the sod cutting for the construction of Agenda 111 has noted that he is very excited to bring the biggest ever investment into reality. Today is the day the president selected to cut the sod for the commencement of the biggest project ever to be carried in the fourth republic. The president delivering a speech at the event noted that this project is going to ease unemployment rate in the health sector . He further expressed how he is happy to cut the sod for this project.
"I'm glad that the biggest ever investment in the nation's healthcare is being made. We have met this morning because of the ravages of COVID-19 which has affect every country on the planet. For us in Ghana not only has the pandemic disrupted our daily lives, but it has also exposed the deficiencies with our healthcare system because of the years of under investment and neglect." The president noted.
The health minister on the other hand also noted that if we would be able to fix the country, then the citizens should be healthy and keeping them healthy means building more infrastructures in the health sector.
"As you know, a healthy people guarantee a healthy nation and government being mindful of this fact has proved to show to the people its commitment to improve the health status of all residents in the country. "The surest way to improve healthcare is through providing new infrastructure or improving just existing ones across the length and breadth of the country.”
