Members of parliament and teachers, who should first receive the coronavirus vaccination.
President Akufo-Addo in his address to the nation last Sunday disclosed plans to vaccinate the entire population with an initial 20 million people targeted for the first phase.
Dr Nsiah-Asare Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) said that the segments for the distribution of the vaccine were frontline workers, people with some form of health risk and co-morbidities, workers who offer essential services and the arms of government and the remaining population.

NOW THE MAJOR ISSUE
Among members of parliament and teachers, who should be part of the first phase of the coronavirus vaccination?
To begin with, teachers are very much required to be healthy so that they can be in the class to facilitate teaching and learning.
Through the enormous responsibility, teachers can be easily infected by their students and hence it has become very much urgent for them to be vaccinated.
Members of parliament on the other hand are the policy makers of this country and are much important for this country and require to receive treatment with much urgency as to the coronavirus outbreak.
It was recently allegedly told that some identified Covid-19 positive members of parliament are attending council meetings.
Now, I strongly believe that both of them should be involved in the first phase but if there be any limitation then teachers should first be vaccinated.

02-07 20:29:32For me, all politicians are to take it first, watching the efficacy for a month then health workers and teachers to follow the suit. We can not afford to lose any health worker to vaccine adverse reactions shld there be. I want to advise govt of appropriate storage facility that will maintain the temp irrespective of moving ard, this is tropical region any fluctuations in d temp will cause more harm than good. Its well ooooh!

02-07 22:15:27I will suggest that Parliamentarians take the vaccination first, in order to testify it's efficacy and possible side effects since the can readily get Doctors to help them.If all goes on well then teachers will follow suit.
