3.Take nitroglycerin (glyceryl trinitrate (GTN)), if prescribed. If you think you're having a heart attack and your doctor has previously prescribed nitroglycerin(glyceryl trinitrate (GTN)) for you, take it as directed. Don't take someone else's nitroglycerin, because that could put you in more danger or would eventually harm you .

4.Start CPR if the person is unconscious, If you're with a person who is unconscious, tell the 911 dispatcher or any local emergency medical specialist. You may be permitted to begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

If you don`t have any training skills about CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation ), doctors recommend performing only chest compressions (about 100 to 120 compressions every minute). The dispatcher would instruct you in the proper procedures until help arrives.

5.If an automated external defibrillator (AED) is immediately available and the person is unconscious, follow the device instructions for using it.

Note: If a patient is unconscious and not breathing normally, you would have to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) to restart their heart.
