Foods that can soothe an ulcer include apples, pears, oatmeals and foods that are high in fibre.

To treat a stomach ulcer, medical doctors prescribe antacids or medications that block acid production and support the healing of the stomach.

Other treatments for stomach ulcers include using medication that protects the lining of the stomach and small intestine.

Research has proven that stomach ulcers could be treated in a few months by using the right course of antibiotics and medication known as the proton pump inhibitor.
