Despite mass vaccination embarked on by the health authorities which has seen over 2 million Ghanaians vaccinated against the Covid-19, many people continue to exit the world at the hands of the disease. According to the latest update from the Ghana Health Service, 14 more people have died from the virus as at the last count to take the total number of fatalities to 1098. The Country has also registered 353 new cases to take the total number of active cases to 4,884, meaning there has been a significant drop from the last of 5073 active cases.
In terms of regional distribution of active cases, the Greater Accra Region continues to lead the pack with 3085 cases. Ashanti Region is second with 447 active cases with the Western region completing the top three with 247 cases. Regions in northern Ghana continue to record the list number of cases with Savanna spearheading the park with 56 cases. The Upper East and Upper West have 46 and 34 active cases respectively. Northern has 36 and North East completes the order with 30 cases.
