It was a healthy discussion this morning, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 as Okoe Boye, former Deputy Minister of Health and Edudzi Tamakloe joined Dr. Randy Abby on Metro TV’s ‘Good Morning’. The trio discussed matters affecting the nation. One of the issues talked about was the misinformation that has come with Covid-19.
According to Randy Abbey he saw a video on social media that had Okoe Boye furious and trying to address the misconception from the Kotoka International Airport that some results on tests were false. Randy teased and maintained that the video showed that Okoe Boye was stressed out while doing the social media live video to correct the misinformation.
“I woke up to see that a video of you waking up at 2am to shoot a video of yourself. I was seeing your ceiling. You looked stressed out” Randy Abbey teased. According to Okoe Boye he was getting calls that tests at the Airport were wrongly done and this misinformation was going viral.
Okoe Boye noted that though he was not at the Ministry he still had to act to clear the air. As Randy Abbey teased him for his stressed face and posture during the live stream, Okoe Boye in a subtle manner called on Randy to stop the mischief and focus on what was being discussed and stop stressing on the video that he saw.
This got Edudzi Tamakloe also laughing and calling on Randy to address the information that Okoe Boye was relaying. The opposition NDC have made several calls on the testing of passengers at the airport to be given to Nugochi, as the department was more local. The government has however resisted all the calls and continue to trust Frontier Services with the testing at the airport.
