Malaria is the leading cause of illness and deaths in Africa. Its prognosis turns to be poor in pregnant women and children under the age of of five.
It is well known to be caused by plasmodium parasite which is carried by the female anopheles mosquito.
Because of this, malaria can primarily be prevented by avoiding mosquito bites.
Over the years governments and non governmental organizations have implemented strategies to help prevent the disease. Among these measures are the distribution of Long Lasting insecticide Nets (LLIN) .
Distribution of LLINs goes through a process and one is REGISTRATION. This is where various house households are registered on an online portal to enable equitable distribution of the LLINs.
This is to say, without being registered you can't benefit from the exercise, hence the need to get registered.
Registration in the Ahafo Region is scheduled to take place from the 2nd to 8th June 2021.
Get Registered, let's drive malaria away.
