Why Should You Eat Tiger Nuts More Often

Tiger nuts are mostly consumed throughout Africa, Europe, and the Mediterranean. It is eaten uncooked or used to make various drinks in Africa. It tastes sweet and almond-like, but it's actually a tuber, not a nut.

The importance of tiger nuts to our overall health cannot be overstated, as they are high in fatty acids, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, making them extremely beneficial to the body.

1. allergy control

One of the reasons we should consume tiger nuts more frequently is that they can help us control our allergies by substituting for foods that contain common allergens. Tiger nuts can help you manage your allergies.

2. Antibacterial activity

According to one study, tiger nut extracts have antibacterial properties that are particularly effective in a petri dish environment against E. coli, S. aureus, and Salmonella sp.

However, more research is needed to determine whether consuming tiger nuts provides any protection against those specific bacteria.

3. It will help you get rid of your constipation.

When a person has fewer than three bowel motions per week or has difficult bowel movements, they are said to be constipated. Dehydration, a lack of dietary fiber, physical inactivity, or pharmaceutical side effects can all contribute to it.

Because tiger nuts are a strong source of fiber, eating them more frequently can help with constipation. Dietary fiber has been shown to help with digestion by increasing the frequency of stools and alleviating constipation.
