Lemons Contain More Sugar Than Strawberries yet it Tastes Sour Than Strawberries.

Scientists say that strawberries and lemons are the world’s healthiest foods. Both fruits contain a low amount of sugar that is helpful as our body needs a certain amount of sugar.

If you have ever taken note of the taste of lemon and strawberries, you will release that lemon tastes sour even having more sugar than the strawberries.

The reason is that the lemon contains a high amount of citric acid, usually 3% to 6%, that dominates the sweet taste of lemon and results in that sour taste.

But on the other hand, the strawberries have less sugar than lemons but there is no acid content present in the strawberries and therefore it tastes sweet.
