Banda Police unit in the Savannah Region are after three armed robbers who have allegedly shot dead a lawyer.
This sad incident happed when the lawyer was travelling from Accra to Jirapa. Eye witness has it that the robbers emerged from a nearby bush that is between Banda Nkwanta and Nuoyiri in the Bole Bamboi highway. Upon reaching the road, these robbers stopped a vehicle which unfortunately housed the lawyer and his relatives.
According to 3News, the robbers had asked whether the passengers on board were police officers but one of the armed robbers immediately shot dead the driver of the vehicle, Richard Badombia, who is a lawyer with LARTEY, BADOMBIA & CO. ASSOCIATES, located opposite ROXY CINEMA at Adabraka, Accra.
After allegedly shooting the driver, the car skid off the road and run into a bush. The rubbers had wanted to force open the car’s door but a bull dog in the car barked at them and they bolted.
The case was immediately reported to the nearest police unit.
Investigations have since begun and police in Banda Nkwanta in Savannah Region are on a manhunt for three armed robbers hence putting the community on alert to assist in the investigation process.
