Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, known by his stage name Wanlov the Kubolor is a Ghanaian-Romanian musician and film director and fashion icon. He is also human rights and LGBT rights activist. He has been one of the celebrities, who has openly declared his support for the group.
For the past weeks, the LGBT group have been trending on almost every media platform after some group members who claimed they were doing a seminar on human rights at Ho were arrested by the police for illegal assembly.
This evening with reaction to the arrest of the 21 LGBT people, Wanlov posted on his Twitter page that Ghana is not a democratic country, since the police and the court have refused to release the 21 people.
