The president of CDD-Ghana Lawyer H Prempeh has angrily reacted to the news of General Legal Council inviting Dr Dominic Akuritinga for investigation into an opinion he expressed on a forum discussion.
According to h Prempeh, Dr Dominic Akuritinga is part of the Ghana Bar and hence had the very right to express his opinion. He said the action of the general legal council seek to suggest that no one can freely express their opinion on matters even as a member of Ghana bar.
He indicated that the forum on which Dr Dominic Akuritinga expressed his opinion was organised by CDD-Ghana and KNUST law faculty to discuss legal decisions and how it affects democracy and good governance. He added that the discussion was a platform where each person expressed his opinion openly, frank and honest.
He therefore said he finds no justification for the invitation of Dr Dominic Akuritinga for any investigation.
