The Ghana's government outlawed a demonstration against the #FixTheCountry demonstration. The Supreme Court of Ghana has nullified police injuction against #FixTheCountry demonstration. The ruling was delivered was delivered today, Tuesday, 8th June, 2021.
The police filled an ex-parte at the High Court against the protest and got a rulling in it's favour on May 6, 2021. The High Court rulled that the planned protest is prohibited untill the restriction on the public gathering is lifted.
The order secured by the police is stated below, "It is hereby ordered that the organizers of #FixTheCountry protest march, their associates, officers, agents, assigns and workmen are prohibited from embarking on any demonstration on Sunday 9th March 2021 or any other date untill the restriction on the public gathering is lifted by the appropriate authority". The group were unhappy and they took the issue to the supreme court.
