Meet Me In Court: Top NPP Lawyer Sends Bold Message To IGP Dampare And Nana Agradaa,

Recently, the Inspector General of Police, George Dampare has been lauded for his practical and visible display of the "nobody is above the law" factor. Just after some few weeks of his appointment as acting IGP and subsequently, IGP of Ghana, several celebrities have been arrested despite their popularity.

Today, a lawyer who has been tagged with the NPP, descended on IGP Dampare for disturbing Ghanaians with law enforcement. Lawyer Maurice Ampaw cited the arrest of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah as an example. He stated that prior to the arrest of the man of God, he had some level of respect for Maame Agradaa and Reverend Owusu Bempah for their status and what they stand for in society. And it is for that matter that he wants to take a personal legal step against the IGP.

According to him, he has no problem with how the CID did their investigations and how the court is also handling the case. He added that his main problem was how Owusu Bempah was handled by the police during the arrest. He explained that he had gathered enough evidence of how some people disguised themselves as police to molest Owusu Bempah and his junior pastors. He added that Nana Agradaa also was at fault for triggering the fight with Rev. Owusu Bempah. Lawyer Maurice Ampaw disclosed that he will go to the High Court to seek truth and justice for Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah. He promised Ghanaians that he will sue the Ghana Police Service, Nana Agradaa, and Attorney General.
