The plot keeps thickening as the debate grows over the future of LGBT in the country. Parliament is expected to debate the an anti-LGBT bill that has been presented before her by Sam George Nartey and 7 other colleagues. However, their fight has been met with some resistance as 18 powerful professionals led by lawyer Akoto Ampaw have resisted calls for Parliament to drop the bill and focus on more important issues.
Over the weekend, Sam George was anointed by his papa, Bishop Charles Agyin Asare of the Perez Chapel International. The Ningo Prampram MP is an elder of that church. Many argued that with pressure mounting Sam George was going for more fire from his spiritual leader. Apart from Sam George, one other person who has been at the forefront of promoting proper human sexual human rights and family values is lawyer Foh-Amoaning.
The lawyer was recently on Paul Adom Otchere’s Good Evening Ghana to share his views on the whole debate on LGBT. He admitted that this was a body disorder and sometimes spiritual and needs counselling to deal with it.
Moses Foh-Amoaning stormed the Apostolic Church’s Ascension Ministers Conference this week and after he delivered his message to them, he was taken through hot prayers for God’s wisdom and strength for him. according to a post on the Facebook page of The Apostolic Church the prayers are borne out of good faith to encourage and keep Moses safe.
Already many of those standing with the bill are facing persecutions in the form of visa denials and threatening messages. Parliament will resume next week and Parliament is expected to hear a second reading of the bill.
