Young Ghanaians are gradually waking up to the sad reality that the country Ghana seems to be retrogressing very fast rather moving forward.
In a twitter trend started by one Joshua Boye-Doe, a social media user and initiator of the #FixTheCountry, the issues affecting the country were highlighted by more than 240,000 retweets.
Manyoung Ghanaians including celebrities asked leaders to think long term and fix the daily issues affecting the country.
Mention was made variedly of poor road infrastructures, unemployment, poor water supply, lack of street lights, erratic power supply, lack of sustainable jobs, poor living conditions, poor health systems etc.
Many believed the country Ghana is in the state it is because we are not deliberate enough in our efforts to truly develop and make the nation great for each and every Ghanaian.
If we are committed to make the nation great, we can but using bit part approach to solving our problems go to the detriment of the large majority.
Indeed it not about politics or parties but the general good of the nation Ghana. Every Ghanaian can get work to do if we plan and execute our priorities well.
It is not rocket science and we just have to look at Rwanda which has made many positive progress with the little resources that they have.
The nation Ghana is blessed variously with lots of natural resources yet we seem to be rather destroying them than improving them for our collective good.
