Ghana is a country mainly known for two main religions; Islam and Christianity. Both Islam and Christianity speak against the act of homosexuality which is a sin against God. There have been a lot of speculation about LGBTQ rights in Ghana which is against the constitution of Ghana. About a couple of months ago, some Ghanaians have caused surprises on the internet with some videos and photos of them making love and marrying their same sex partners. In 2021, 2 Ghanaian gays who are based in Europe have caused controversies with their gay marriages on the internet.
A Ghanaian man who is known to be Kwame Aboagye is based in Germany. He got married to his gay partner called Schmidt who is a German. The couple were very happy in their videos which went viral on social media about a few months ago. There were a lot of Ghanaian gays who were present at the wedding ceremony.
Another UK based Ghanaian man has gotten married to a British man in the United Kingdom. The name of the Ghanaian man is not well known. At their wedding ceremony, the two dressed in a colorful kente cloths. Kente is popularly known to be a symbolic figure of Ghana. Their wedding has left a lot of Ghanaians shocked on social media since homosexuality is not accepted in Ghana.
