#FixTheCountry: March set for August 4, conveners make known.

The conveners of #FixTheCountry campaign have finalised details with the Ghana Police Service regarding the first protest march scheduled for August 4, 2021. The protest march that will first occur in Accra's principal street will begin at the Obra Spot near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and end at the Blackstar Square, Accra.

The protesters will be guided by police personnel who will help direct traffic and routes of the protesters to avoid vehicular traffic and pedestrians' obstruction.

The conveners in a press statement mentioned that persons coming for the march are to assemble at obra spot at 6:30am and set off together at 8:00am.

These routes will be engaged from start of protest; Through Kwame Nkrumah Avenue to Fatisco traffic light, moving left towards TUC, using the road leading past Kinbu Senior High School to join the John Evans Atta Mills High Street. Proceeding to Independence Square, where the crowds will be addressed and dispersed. They added that, the crowds are expected to start dispersing around 2pm after the address.

Meanwhile all protesters are advised to adhere to all public health protocols.
