The General Legal council will have a hearing on the 15th of July concerning a petition against Lawyer Kwasi Afrifa for implicating the Chief Justice for allegedly interfering in the administration of Justice. There is an allegation that the Chief Justice of Ghana, Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah, demanded a huge amount of USD5,000,000 to help a petitioner.
Elikem Kotoko gave an interesting analysis of this case. Elikem revealed that the Swedru High Court awarded damages of sixteen million dollars and nine thousand, nine hundred and twenty dollars. He explained that the Chief Justice will be at the supreme court to affirm this money and other related matters. According to Elikem Kotoko, if the Chief Justice succeeds at the Supreme Court, he will get a total amount of sixteen United State million dollars.
Reacting to this post of Elikem, Mohammed Awal stated that Elikem wants to disgrace the Chief Justice but he shall fail. See post.
