Josephine Panyin Mensah has been in the news for about some weeks now. She was in the news after she was declared missing. She was later seen and that was where all the brouhaha started. Josephine Panyin Mensah claimed she was pregnant when she kidnapped but laboratory tests proved she wasn't pregnant. She later confessed that indeed she wasn't pregnant and that she staged everything with her mom.
Though after pleading with the police not to prosecute her. Josephine Panyin Mensah was arraigned before the court where she vehemently pleaded not guilty to all the charges which were leveled against her. Her lawyer Fiifi Buckman pleaded for the court to grant his client a bail which was granted her.
When we thought Josephine Panyin Mensah has been finally gained some little freedom, the news reaching TheProgrammeNews is that Josephine Panyin Mensah will spend some time in police custody even after been granted a bail.
According to the lawyer of Josephine Panyin Mensah, the Western Regional Lands Commision have delayed in verifying the documents of his client. He explained that the officer who is supposed to sign the properties to cover the GHC50K bail was not available to do that. Lawyer Fiifi Buckman revealed this on EyewitnessNews on Citi Tv.
