Bail denial saga: SM fans protest against bail denial as IGP Dampare and his boys remain adamant

Shatta Wale has been denied bail. This has been made clear by the Ghana police who have earlier heard rumors concerning a bail grant for the dancehall artiste.

Ghanaians have spoken about this and pleaded with the Ghana police to forgive the dancehall artiste for what he did.

The dancehall artiste can not do whatever he likes according to the law and go scot free and this is why he remains in police custody.

Earleir today, a group of people who saw the need to attend to the needs of the dancehall artiste also made it a point to request for a bail.

But this has been futile despite numerous efforts according to the police. These persons include some family members of the dancehall artiste and some loyal soldiers of the SM king.

There were speculations earlier stating that the dancehall artiste has finally been granted bail but the police have cleared the air.

Just like we have seen for some other influential and public persons who were arrested earlier, the IGP, George Akufo-Dampare and his men denied them bail for some hours.

Some were kept in police custody for as long as a day and almost to the third day. This affirmed the current state of the Ghana police service with regards to their competence.

The police force have proven themselves once again to be competent. However, fans of the dancehall artiste have sent several protests online demanding a bail from the police.

Public and influential personalities have spoken about this but it seems the inspector general of police is poised on his decision to instill discipline.

From earlier statements from the police, they are following protocol and abiding by the law. The law must be allowed to operate and this is why the police have allowed the law to have its way.

We hope the dancehall artiste is pardoned and if possible considered but at least with some talks and making this a minor issue to set as an example.
