Over the past weeks, Ghanaians who sought justice for the late Kaaka Macho who was a popular avid critic of the government through his social media activism. The final findings from the committee on the case blamed his death to a family feud that took in place in Ejura. The report has received mixed reactions from several Ghanaians who have spotted 'errrors and contradictions' in the statement.
Many popular Ghanaians including Mr. Kwesi Pratt and several NDC NDC Communicators have found the report faulty. Today, October 2, 2021, NPP bigwig Lawyer Buaben Asamoah was interviewed on TV3's Key Point. It was a heated discussion as he was questioned on the report from the Ejura Committee.
The Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Patriotic Party, Lawyer Buaben Asamoah has been 'forced' to retract his comments he earlier made concerning the report of the Ejura Committee on the killing of Ghanaian activist Kaaka Macho. The communications strategist indicated that the report that the District officer made no mistakes in his dealings regarding the case.
Buaben Asamoah reacting to the statement showered praises on the Committee over what he described as a good work. He has registered his disappointment against some Ghanaians who have alleged that the report is biased and sought to protect some officials who played a critical role in the case. According to him, Ghanaians should see the report as a credible one that has come to vindicate the government.
He said, "I cannot second guess the Committee. All I know is that they have done a good job. There are some people who believe that there must be a connection, but they are entitled to their own opinion. I cannot say what is not in the report because I was not part. I am sorry, do not put me in trouble."
Meanwhile, the deceased family continues to protest the findings because they believe that justice has not been served. Ghanaians continue to mount pressure on government demanding justice for the late Kaaka.
