Three ECOBANK workers comprising of their managing Mr. Director Daniel Sackey, two officers from their legal department Madam Ewuraa Abena Asafo-Boakye and Mr. William Asamoah-Otoo are in trouble for reportedly Tearing down a Court Documented order which was pasted at their Headquarters building.
After allegedly tearing down the court's order, the three allegedly made a press release calling the bluff of the court by disregarding the orders against them.
They reportedly told their customers and stakeholders that there is nothing at stake and no cause for alarm while they knew vividly that a legal battle was pending against them.
Their action pushed Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata and his client Mr Daniel Ofori to chase them for justice by applying for substituted service against the three which the Accra High Court court has granted.
The Accra High Court presided by Justice Gifty Adjei heeded to the application filed by Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata and his client Mr Daniel Ofori and gave legitimate orders. This reportedly became possible after Court bailiff kept chasing the three to serve them with contempt applications but failed.
The Genesis of the case indicates that Tsatsu Tsikata's client Daniel Ofori secured a judgment debt application against ECOBANK . This led to a legal battle between the payee and recipient.
