George Opare Addo made this statement on 'THE GUMBE SHOW' on XYZ television yesterday, 1st July 2021, when he lamented the brutality being meted out to citizens by some security personnel in the country.
According to him, if you are Policeman or soldier and you are being used by this government to commit atrocities, his message to you is that crime has no expiry date. A government will come in which you will account for all that you've done. "All those security personnel who went to Ejura and shot at the protesters, we've seen the videos, and we know them all. Their day of reconning is coming.
"Akufo Addo will give you protection for four years. By all means, in 2025, a new government will come to power, the NDC government will come to power, and everybody responsible will be held accountable. So, they can go ahead and commit all that atrocities, but in two or three years, the day of accountability will come, and on that day, they will answer to their crimes." He said
He added that he can assure every senior police officer that loves Ghana that they should take note of what is happening when NDC forms the next government, they should give them the information, and they will investigate it and punish all the culprits.
