The battle ahead is great but I live for such moment- Sam Dzata George roars again amid LGBTQ+ topic

The member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Dzata George has made headlines for the past three days following his denouncement on his stance on the LGBTQ+ brouhaha. Sam George was taken on fiercely by advocates of LGBTQ+ including British politician, Seb Dance yesterday on social media, after he stated emphatically that homosexuality is not a human right and the bill to criminalize LGBTQ+ people will pass through. This happened at the backdrop of a draconian bill, propounded by lawmakers in the country to hand severe punishment to LGBTQ+ group and people who declares his support for the group.

In a Facebook post today, Sam George has reveal the popular quote that has influenced his unyielding stance on the LGBTQ+ issue. He made reference to a popular adage by former American stateman, Alexander Hamilton which says "stand for something or fall for anything". According to the Ningo-Prampram member of parliament, the adage has resonated with him never like the past 8 days.

"Stand for something or fall for anything. This popular saying has resonated with me but never like in the past 96 hours. The battle ahead is great but i live for such moment", Sam George said. "We shall overcome. We shall prevail.Truth always triumph. Take a stand and let the truth be head".

Sam George wasn't only eulogised by Ghanaians for his thought-provoking replies to the fierce attacks yesterday but was also commended by Nigerians, who were astonished by the parliamentarian's gallantness. Meanwhile parliament is yet to appoint a committee to review the anti-gay bill and if not subjected to any changes, the draconian bill will pass through.
