The Greater Accra Regional Public Relation Officer, DSP Afia Tenge in an interview with Citi FM has indicated that the police has finished processing the docket regarding the case of the caregiver and is about to be sent to court. This will enable the court to drill and deal with this callous caregiver.
Clara Ayani-Ampah, the 53 year old lady, the caregiver at Happy Bloomers Creche at the centre of this scandal who was caught by the CCTV camera of the school in a clear case of an intention to kill the baby in question has been processed by the police and ready to be dealt with by the court.
The situation which has attracted public outcry has a lot of people keenly following what will be the outcome because of the cruel nature of the circumstance under which this baby was killed by this woman's action. To the extent that reserved celebrities like Ama K Abrebrese have wished the family well in times like this an indication of how concerned the public is about this matter. It is thus refreshing to note that the law is about to take it course to deal with her and people like her in the society.
Subsequently it's important that the mental health of people seeking to take care of children in institutions like that are subject to some form of evaluation to prevent unforseen circumstances such as this in future.
