Recently, the name of His Lordship Chief Justice of Ghana, Anin Yeboah has been trending online with massive reactions over an alleged demand for US$5Million bribe on a pending court case at the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Ogyeedom Obranu Kwasi Atta VI, a Chief, reported his lawyer, Kwasi Afrifa Esq. to the General Legal Council (GLC) for misconduct which was linked to Chief Justice of the republic of Ghana for allegedly $5M bribe.
Below is the petition letter;
"After given him the money I realised from his demeanour that he did not use the money for its intended purpose as advised so I fired him from the case and asked him for a refund of the money but he has since refunded Twenty Five Thousand United States Dollars (US$25,000.00) leaving a balance of Seventy Five Thousand United States Dollars due and owing to me. All efforts to retrieve the remaining amount have failed." Petitioner Ogyeedom Obranu Kwasi Atta VI stated.
After the petition was filed to General Legal Council against Lawyer Akwasi Afrifa, he also filed a petition involving his Lordship Chief Justice of Ghana, Anin Yeboah in the bribe of $5M claiming that he has paid $500,000 to the Chief Justice.
This may not be true, the fact is, if it is indeed true then, what do you think should be done with the Chief Justice. Leave a comment and share.
