It was reported by various news portals that Takoradi woman who faked her own pregnancy and kidnapping will be facing the court today. In fact, Josephine Panyin Mensah has made the people of Ghana anxious with her story only for them to realised they were all not true.
According to the police, she confessed to them that she wasn't pregnant and that they shouldn't prosecute her. The police stated they wanted to prosecute her in order to serve as a deterrent to others who are planning to do same.
Around 6:00am according to Citi News reporter Akwasi Agyei Anim, Josephine Panyin Mensah was arraigned before court where she has vehemently pleaded not guilty to charges leveled against her. According to him, Josephine Panyin Mensah revealed that she has never confessed anything to the police.
The court has granted Josephine a bail of GHC5000.
This particular news have caused a lot of reactions from people as they can not understand why she was granted a bail.
