The chief Justice is one of the the frontline fighters of corruption and injustice. He is usually somebody with strong background in law and many years of working experience in justice administration. Most people even believe that he is expected to be incorruptible.
That is why the current chief Justice has led many trends on social after being alleged to be part of a bribery scandal. The development has surprised many Ghanaians especially those who have trust in the Ghanaian judiciary.
Because, just some few weeks ago, he was said to have reported Lawyer Dr. Dominic Ayine to the General Legal Council (GLC) for not conducting himself as a lawyer. Following this, many Ghanaians had the believe that, Ghana has got a Chief Justice that can take the necessary actions to make sure that the integrity and reputation of the judiciary is secured.
However, the Chief Justice himself, who is the leader of the judiciary is accused of being part of a $5000000.00 bribe scandal. Receiving this message, most Ghanaians have expressed their diverse views on the issue.
Whilst some of them are blaming the NDC for plotting it against the chief Justice, others put the blame on the chief Justice for a misconduct. They even go further to link it with the recent election petition by saying that Who watches the watchman since he was part of the judges that supervised the petition hearing.
