Ghana is still brooding over the death of Ibrahim Mohammed and 2 protestors who were shot by security personnel. Many are wondering why unarmed protestors were shot by military personnel. President Akufo-Addo yesterday called for an inquiry into what happened. Today, July 1, 2021 some executives of the National Democratic Congress visited Ejura and commiserated with the family of Ibrahim Mohammed who was killed by some assailants.
Sammy Gyamfi spoke to Osei Bonsu on ‘Ekosii Sen’ to brief him on what will happen next. According to Sammy Gyamfi they will present a report to their leaders and then seek for justice for the family. He maintained this this could mean taking the case to an international court.
What happened to the murderers at Techiman South, Ayawaso West and Savelugu? We are told that some unprofessional men appointed by Akufo-Addo wearing earrings stormed the place and fired the protestors. They call themselves soldiers. Who does this to unarmed protestors? The brother of Kaaka is innocent and Kaaka’s wife is wondering why he was arrested.
We won’t allow this case to die naturally. We will also embark on street protests. Legally, our legal team will assist the families affected. For the 2 killed on the streets we will pursue action against the soldiers involved locally. We are even ready to take this case up internationally if that will bring justice. The family members and residents of Ejura are even begging us to help them so they get justice" Sammy Gyamfi explained.
The enquiry team has 10 days to present their investigation findings to President Akufo-Addo. Many are wondering if the findings will be implemented or left to pass same as other findings
