The LGBTQ movement is one that Ghanaians do not want to hear of. Most Ghanaians who are not in support of this practice have criticized it at all levels and have sent warnings to these individuals who are involved but are in hiding.
Recently, a message sent by the president of our land, Nana Akufo-Addo stated emphatically that this practice will not be allowed to happen once he is in government or remains the president of the country.
He was praised by many who were in support whiles many who were not in support of this movement descended on him heavily with several insults from these supporters. In a trending post and a photos from a Ghanaian embassy in the United States, ,citizens were seen holding boards and protesting against the decision of Ghanaians and the president to pass such comments on the LGBTQ community.
Nana Addo was not in support and this is why these individuals are still in hiding. In the post, they were seen stating that since Ghana has its motto as freedom and justice, then there should be freedom and justice for all Ghanaians including lesbians and gays.
This has become another serious issue as many who are not in support are in fear that it might escalate into something even more bigger than it used to be a few months ago. Will LGBTQ be accepted at any time soon or ever in Ghana? Share your thoughts.
