Inusah Fueini Responds To Son’s Conviction In USA Over Fraud and Money Laundering

Former Roads and Highways Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has expressed his disappointment over the conviction of his son in the United State of America (USA) for money laundering and fraud.

On Tuesday, August 23, it emerged in the media that a 31-year-old Ghanaian, Abdul Inusah, based in the United State of America (USA) has been found guilty for committing Fraud and Money Laundering in a Southern District of West Virginia.

Evidence presented during the trial revealed that Inusah was part of a conspiracy that targeted victims using false personas via email, text messaging, and online dating and social media websites.

He faces up to 50 years jail term for colluding with others and defrauding individuals in multiple states through the use of false online personas.

Speaking to the issue on Accra-based Asaase Radio, Mr Inusah Fuseini confirmed that the young man convicted in the USA is his son.

“As a father, my son told me that one of his colleague students wanted a car and he has documents that allow him to auction vehicle and it turns out the colleague student was involved in a romance fraud,” the former legislator said.
