Arise Ghana Demonstrators Finally Send Another Strong Message To Akufo-Addo, Read Details

The group called Arise Ghana has been engaging in a two-day demonstration that ended today. The demonstration has been characterized by a lot of unpleasant things including a clash between the Police and demonstrators. The demonstrators have sent another strong message to Akufo-Addo while ending their demonstration today.

Even though the police wouldn't let them continue today, they still managed to continue and end their two-day demonstration. The demonstrators then boldly President Akufo-Addo to redraw the E-Levy and also reduce the nuisance taxes on fuel as those things have brought more hardships on Ghanaians than never before. The group made these claims while presenting their petition to the finance ministry and Parliament.

Bernard Mornah, a leading member of the group revealed that the government should also drop the Agyapa deal as it's not in the interest of the whole country. Deputy Finance Minister, Abena Osei while receiving their petition revealed that, the ministry has noticed all their concerns and will work towards addressing them.

In Parliament, Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu accepted their petition and also revealed that “we have noted the concerns that you raised including matters relating to taxes, and reclassification of the Achimota forests.”

Finally, the Arise Ghana Demonstration is over, do you think their concerns will be addressed, and was the demonstration worth it?
