Host of Onua Maakye show on Onua TV, Captain Smart has reacted to the recent statement made by Nkrabeah Effah Dartey, lawyer of Aisha Huang.
Speaking on Onua TV this morning, Captain Smart revealed that the lawyer of Aisha Huang should be arrested with immediate effect. He explained by stating that the laws of the country allow persons who want to mine in Ghana to pass through the necessary processes.
This means, one must get an approval from the president through the minerals commission. He added that if Lawyer Nkrabeah Effah Dartey is saying that a lot of people are also doing illegal mining activities in the country and for that matter his client must be bailed, then he must also be arrested.
"Firstly, he said the journalists and the media have over hyped the matter. Also he said people are doing galamsey or doing mining without license and also people are selling gold without license. I think Nkrabeah Effah Dartey must be arrested for kicking against our constitution now now now."
"Our constitution says that all our natural mineral resources are vested in the president so you cannot mine, sell anything mineral resource in this country without the permission of the president through the minerals commission. He is a politician who does not think about Ghana but thinks only about Aisha Huang" he said.

This comes after Lawyer Nkrabeah Effah Dartey made it clear to the media that the case of Aisha Huang has been over hyped. He added that such cases usually happen in the country and he sees no reason the media should give too much attention on it.
"My worry is that the media has over hyped this small matter of mining without a license and doing mineral sales without license. It’s a small matter, it happens every day in Ghana. So I don’t see why the media should even write an editorial on this matter” he said.
