The Chief Justice, his lordship Annin Yeboah has been charged with bribery. This is an issue which has become of national interest. The whole scenario seems unbelievable and many are surprised to hear these allegations emerging from such high authority in government. The allegation against the Chief Justice for allegedly taking 5 million dollars bribe has led to this suite against him.
The issue got bigger after a Chief reported this alleged fraudulent deal which happened between his lawyer including the Chief Justice on a pending court case. The issue has become a critical one as investigations are allegedly being conducted. In a petition submitted to the Supreme Court by the plentiff, he submitted the document below,
Mr Ogyeedom Obeanu Kwesi Atta whiles speaking to the media today revealed that there is nothing he will acquire from defaming any honorable member of this country. He revealed that a sum of this amount has been refunded with the remaining amount still in debt. This has called for investigations and several other decisions by the legal council.
When he was challenged about how he would give evidence to prove his case, he stated that if anyone thinks I’m making noise, they should know that we will meet in court and that’s where the truth lies. He revealed that the truth will be revealed in court and he is very certain about that.
