The Ghana Police service said, the Ejura Sekyedumasi protest has been calmed in the Ashanti Region. Ejura youth protest clashed with the military and police when some residents pelted stones at the security personnel who were deployed around the burial grounds of the late Social Activist, Ibrahim Muhammad popularly know as Macho Kaaka.
Two persons have shot dead, four injured as the gunshot fired to disperse the crowd by the police and Military. The police have arrested two people in connection with the crime.
The Police, Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong Bonuah, through their efforts and the hard work have control the crowd which has restored the peace to Ejura. Since the country is peaceful, calmed has been restored.
The injured persons are taking treatment at government hospital. The police also share their condolence to the dead persons family.
Security also still protecting to stop any arises which might be happen.
